The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a skilled and strategic Digital Ad Manager/Paid Media Specialist to support our fundraising and donor engagement efforts. This part-time, temporary role will focus on planning, executing, and optimizing digital advertising campaigns across platforms including Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Google Ads, LinkedIn, and Reddit.

The ideal candidate will bring a data-driven mindset, creative problem-solving skills, and a passion for higher education and philanthropy.

Work Schedule Monday-Friday(12 hours per month)
Other Work/Responsibilities
Campaign Strategy & Planning

  • Collaborate with development communications to define campaign goals, target audiences, and messaging strategies.
  • Develop media plans and budgets aligned with fundraising objectives.


Campaign Execution

  • Set up and manage paid media campaigns on Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn, or Reddit.
  • Write/test ad copy, select creative assets, and implement A/B testing.

Optimization & Reporting

  • Monitor performance and adjust targeting, bidding, and creative to maximize ROI.
  • Deliver monthly performance reports with insights and improvement recommendations.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure brand consistency and alignment with development goals.
  • Stay current on digital advertising trends and platform updates.

Candidates must reside in North Carolina.
Minimum Experience/Education
  • Bachelor's degree (typically four years of education beyond high school) in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related field.
Department Required Skills

  • Proven experience managing digital ad campaigns, particularly on Meta and Google platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with campaign reporting and optimization.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.


Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education

  • Familiarity with LinkedIn and Reddit advertising platforms is a strong plus.
  • Experience in nonprofit, higher education, or fundraising environments is preferred.
  • Google Ads and Meta Blueprint certifications are a plus.
