About the Role:

The Marketing team at PitchBook is critical to fueling the company's growth by utilizing a variety of strategies to support our Sales and Customer Success departments grow and retain our client base. The Marketing department is responsible for all demand generation efforts by executing engaging campaigns and effective product marketing strategies and by attending client and trade-show events. The Marketing team is also responsible for promoting the PitchBook brand and managing internal communications.

We're looking for a sharp, versatile web operations and marketing technology contractor to support critical digital marketing initiatives and infrastructure upgrades at PitchBook. This is a highly hands-on role focused on keeping the engine running-while also helping build what's next.

You'll work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across marketing, web strategy, and product teams to execute a range of tactical tasks, technical audits, content operations, and system implementations. Ideal candidates are highly organized, thrive in ambiguity, and know how to get things over the finish line.

Primary Job Responsibilities:



  • Own day-to-day content updates in Brightspot CMS (e.g., profiles, pages, modules)
  • Push updates live across marketing site sections
  • Perform QA on creative content before publishing (link integrity, design validation)
  • Build and QA new content types (e.g., case studies, PIRG pages)
  • Conduct SEO audits and reporting (meta data, internal linking, title tags)
  • Audit and help implement Google Tag Manager, OneTrust, and Tourial
  • Execute personalization experiences via Optimizely and GTM, including QA before launch
  • Support module implementation and QA during CMS migration
  • Assist with page creation, template setup, and final publishing in Brightspot
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define module requirements (e.g., editable fields, visual options)
  • Help finalize and QA forms and lead flows for migrated pages
  • Support development of content outlines and messaging frameworks for new pages
  • Translate wireframes and strategy documents (e.g., "Why PitchBook" wireframe) into actionable page build plans
  • Coordinate with design and dev to validate build feasibility and requirements



Skills and Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3+ years of previous experience in a digital marketing, personalization, or conversion rate optimization role
  • Experience implementing A/B tests with a thorough knowledge of best practices. Willingness to learn and stay on top of new tactics and tools
  • Data-driven mindset and comfortable analyzing data and using findings to power business decisions
  • Experience using Optimizely is a plus
  • Experience with Google Analytics and Tableau is a plus
  • Experience building personalized website experiences
  • Willingness to adapt and use AI tools to increase productivity while maintaining quality
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once with limited supervision
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new technology platforms quickly
  • Experience presenting findings and making recommendations to executives
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with leaders across our analyst, development, and design teams
  • Passion for innovation and unafraid to bring new ideas and tactics to the table. Stay on top of digital marketing industry trends
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily

Compensation



  • Annual base salary: $70,000-$83,000
  • Target annual bonus percentage: 7.5%



*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.

Working Conditions:

We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it's helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3 days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
