Senior Combat Systems Technician

We are seeking a Senior Combat Systems Technician.

Located on-site in Port Hueneme, CA.

Job Description:

* Develop and formulate solutions to combat system problems; statistically verify combat system performance in support of the certification process; reviews system design, maintainability, and operational suitability of the system to assess required design changes; plan, develop, track and report system engineering/production efforts; develop and/or maintain program readiness/system requirements.

* Provide oversight of Combat Systems baseline for systems and computer programs with TECHREP.

* Performs a variety of complex technical project assignments and program management roles directed toward the successful integration, test, and maintenance of baselines/capability packages.

* This entails participation in program and design reviews, integrated logistics support (ILS) meetings, land-based testing, installation-integration planning, schedule development-maintenance and risk reduction efforts.

* Responsible for coordinating technical teams (internal and external) for reviewing baseline specifications and verifying baseline is meeting design requirements.

* Responsible for forming and chairing working groups to collect and prepare comments against the baseline, and then prioritizing comments for adjudication.

* System engineering projects associated with Combat System and Test & Evaluation (T&E), in-service engineering, installation, integration, operation, and maintenance.

Qualifications:

* 8-10 years of combat system experience.

* Requires thorough knowledge of System Engineering and Life Cycle Engineering processes of Naval Surface Warfare Systems with emphasis on Combat System.

* Ability to lead, coordinate, and develop solutions to combat system problems and statistically verify combat system performance in support of the Acquisition and Platform Certification process.
