Weston is seeking astrategic,Client Account Director/ Business Development Leaderfor ourMid-Atlantic State and Local Sector. This role is a key part of Weston'soverallgrowth strategy todiversify our market presence andofferings to our clients.
Location: Mid-Atlantic Region: NY, NJ, PA, MD, DE and DC Metro
Expected Outcome:
Provide overall leadership in developing long-term client relationships, building contract sales pipelines, partneringwith operations to ensure high-quality project delivery, and to grow the capacity of the required teamsto deliverexceptional value to our clientsin a variety of environmental and infrastructure technical areas. This role is a key part of Weston's growth strategy to expand our portfolio of state and local contracts. Existing relationships with state, county, and cities agencies required . This role demands a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of environmental regulations and infrastructure trends, along with excellent communication, business development, and project management skills. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met with innovative and effective solutions.
Build a sustainable regional portfolio of new contracts and relationships with Municipal and State Agencies within the Mid-Atlantic Region including NY, NJ, PA, MD, DE and DC Metro while maintaining existing contract portfolio:
  • Develop and maintain a network of relationships with regional Teaming Partners
  • Collaborate with leadership to support the development ofregionaldelivery teams
  • Achieving strategic, profitable, regional growth
  • Attend associations, conferences, networking eventsto expand the company's presence
  • Stay informed about legislative changes, funding opportunities, and competitive landscape.
  • Successfully pursue new contracts with existing and new clients, diversify the offerings we are providing.
  • Support, as appropriate, the continued development of existing client relationships
  • Mentor Project Managers and Seller/Doers
Drive development and growth:
  • Must be highly motivated, a self-starter, and drive results.
  • Lead internal and external messaging.
  • Assist in staff recruiting and mentoring of project staff.
  • Maintain flexibility in a continuously changing and fast-paced environment.
  • Translate highly technical information so that non-technical decision makers can understand risks and opportunities related to sustainability projects andWeston's offering.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Bachelor's Degree in environmental science, engineering, planning or related technical field. Master's Degree preferred.
  • 10+ years' experience and established relationshipswith Mid Atlantic Municipal and State clients,in astrategic business developmentleadership position.
  • A broad understanding ofthe current and emerging environmental and infrastructure needs, funding challenges of those clients.
  • Highly collaborative and willing and able to work with many stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employee-owners, clients, and community leaders.
  • Growth mindset with 5+ years of demonstrated success in business development and proposal developmentto municipal and state agencies.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

Salary Range: $138,273-$183,270-$228,370
