Position Summary:

The Staff Accountant is an integral member of the Finance team, managing closing activities, providing technical accounting support and general ledger account reconciliations to support the finance function.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage monthly closing activities of the Cincinnati site within deadlines, including journal entry preparation & review
  • Perform requirements of standard tax package processes on time (includes monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables to Corporate Tax) and respond to requests as needed
  • Perform service revenue recognition accounting and lease accounting for all locations
  • Complete the monthly R12 site requirements, performing revenue analysis in alignment with SOX
  • Lead cross-functional reviews with Dover Business Services teams (AR, AP)
  • Provide technical cost accounting support to, participate in, and lead the inventory valuation process
  • Review and perform general ledger account reconciliations (including all intercompany trading activities) within agreed deadlines
  • Participate in, and lead CIP/CAPEX process
  • Participate in, and lead T&E accounting and processes
  • Participate in, and lead Sales & Use accounting and processes
  • Participate in, and lead special projects and process improvement activities as required
  • Support timely provision and implementation of audit deliverables
  • Follow all of the company's established accounting policies and processes
  • Liaise and work co-operatively with other sites and personnel as required
  • Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Accounting Degree
  • 2-4 years of general accounting work experience
  • Experienced with ERP systems (prefer Oracle) - capable of handling accounting duties within an ERP environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI
  • Strong analytical skills - Ability to perform financial analysis and support business decisions
  • System Preferences: Oracle, OneStream, Concur, Vertex

Work Arrangement : Onsite

Pay Range: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually

Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
