Job Description

The University of Missouri is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to serve as the Coordinator of Academic Services within the Mizzou Athletics Department. This position plays a critical role in supporting the academic success and overall well-being of Mizzou's student-athletes and staff by providing a range of academic and business services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to working with a diverse population of students and staff.

Key Responsibilities Include:

* Assisting with the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and payroll processes for part-time academic support staff, including tutors and mentors.
* Overseeing study hall operations and supervising student-athletes during required academic sessions.
* Coordinating scheduling for A.D.H.D. and learning disability assessments.
* Supervising and mentoring undergraduate and graduate interns assigned to the academic services team.
* Supporting initiatives by assisting with the coordination of Affinity Groups and related programming.
* Managing departmental budgets and overseeing credit card reconciliation in compliance with university guidelines.
* Regularly reviewing, updating, and maintaining internal policies, procedures, and operations manuals to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
* Organizing and contributing to recognition efforts such as Tutor Appreciation Week and other academic-related events.
* Collaborating with staff to assist with textbook ordering and distribution processes each semester.
* Providing logistical and administrative support for special events, including the graduation sash ceremony and alternative graduation programs.
* Assisting in maintaining the department's College Reading & Learning Association (CRLA) Certification by supporting related documentation, training, and assessment requirements.
* Other duties as assigned by the Executive Athletic Director for Academic Services.

Shift

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $52,915.20-$55,000

Grade: GGS 10
