Job Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring the successful operation and supervision of work performed in the Parts Shuttle area by drivers and ensuring the proper prioritization of operations and use and maintenance of transport assets in support of effective and efficient parts distribution. This work will include but will not be limited to: supervision of drivers, record keeping, customer communications, implementing new techniques and equipment, assisting drivers with technical information, driver training and safety. This position also involves after hours work due to the nature of the Parts Shuttle. The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development. Essential Functions:
- Model, promote, reinforce, and reward the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.
- Plan, monitor and control Parts Shuttle activities for a specific region of HOLT Territory to ensure alignment with the company mission and core business values to achieve established regional service objectives and business unit forecasts.
- Select, develop, and evaluate transport personnel to ensure commitment, competence, and human resource availability.
- Communicate, monitor, and enforce transport department policies in order to ensure a high level of consistency within the service division.
- Model, reinforce and monitor safe work practices to ensure that work environment hazards and lost time accidents are reduced and/or eliminated.
- Oversee driver operations to include adherence to all DOT regulations, company policies, and department procedures.
- Oversee the operations, maintenance, and repairs of all Parts Shuttle trucks and trailers.
- Insure parts and cargo are delivered on time, to include the employment of outside carriers as needed.
- Review routes to insure all requirement are met and stops are identified.
- Work closely with Store Parts Managers to insure requirements are met.
- Make recommendations to the Transport Manager (Parts Shuttle) and/or the Sr Director Transport and Fleet for process improvements and enhancements.
- Monitor and track trucks and trailers for replacement.
- Make recommendations to the Transport Manager (Parts Shuttle) and/or the Sr Director Transport and Fleet, in conjunction with Store Parts Managers, for new routes as needed.

Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 5+ years as a haul driver of dry vans or larger and within the transportation or logistics industry required
- Supervisory experience required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and development; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing and resolving problems.
Travel:
- Travels monthly with possible overnight travel
- Valid driver's license
Physical Requirements:
- This position involves extended periods in a stationary position
- This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
- Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work
Work Environment:
- This job is performed in both a professional office environment, in environmentally controlled conditions, and outdoors and may be exposed to weather extremes conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity
- Frequently works at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
- Requires dealing with unpleasant, angry, or discourteous people
