*Job Title: Lead Low Voltage Technician* *Tek Systems* is seeking a Lead Low Voltage Technician to support the rebuild of their Nashville office. This technician will be responsible for installing, configuring, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing low voltage systems such as Fire Alarms, Access Control Systems, CCTV, Nurse Calls, and Intercoms. The ideal candidate will exemplify integrity, dedication to results, team inspiration, and commitment to exceptional customer service.
*Primary Responsibilities* * Program, start-up, troubleshoot, and commission new system installations. * Perform basic point-to-point troubleshooting across various systems. * Communicate clearly with project lead and clients on project updates. * Assist with installations under direction to ensure success. * Identify and report system issues to the project lead. * Review contracts/designs for accuracy before installations. * Conduct inspections to ensure systems meet code requirements. * Complete detailed project reports. * Respond to emergency service calls. * Maintain strong written and oral communication with clients. * Apply attention to detail for timely and cost-effective solutions. * Work shifts may vary based on project assignments. * Participate in a rotating on-call schedule. * Must attend regularly and be available in-person during business hours. * Perform other duties as assigned. *Key Skills* * Cat6 * Install * Cable * Installation * Access control * Fire alarm *Top Skills Summary* * Cat6 * Install * Cable * Installation * Access Control * Fire Alarm *Additional Skills & Qualifications* * Working knowledge of low voltage systems (Fire Alarms, Access Control, CCTV, etc.) * Strong technical and computer proficiency * Effective communication (written and verbal) * Ability to operate lifts beyond ladder limitations * Capable of carrying and climbing 8'+ ladders regularly * Skilled with hand tools and multi-meters * Able to read technical drawings and manuals for installations * Comfortable reporting to Project Managers * Follows both verbal and written instructions effectively *Experience Level* *Intermediate* *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
