IT Management Specialist Active DoD Secret Clearance Location: Remote, but must be available to periodically support meetings with the Government at DLA HQ/Ft. Belvoir, VA, and other locations.
Nationwide IT Services, NIS, is in search of an IT Management Specialist tasked with delivering project management support to an information technology (IT) organization that focuses on establishing and maintaining a strong IT benchmarking capability.
The ideal candidate will need to design and execute IT Service Management processes, software, and tools aimed at enhancing IT service delivery while minimizing costs. They will also perform IT service quality assurance and have expertise in network analysis, system administration, audits, and database administration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for identifying critical tasks, managing project meetings and suspense dates for action items, and preparing executive presentations to senior J6 leadership.
- Performs IT benchmarking pre-assessment visit activities which include participating in and recording the results of customer interviews, evaluating responses from pre-assessment questionnaires, and developing follow up questions for visit interviews. Support management organization, management planning, and oversight and monitoring of all contractor/project efforts.
- Provides Benchmarking Assessment visit support to include recording comments and feedback during subject matter expert interviews, collecting observations, and generating an out-briefing presentation to senior J6 officials.
- Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and creating a final report that includes observations, recommendations, and alternatives for best practices.
- Responsible for tracking the status of assigned actions for both best practices and IT service improvement opportunities.
- Develops and delivers IT benchmarking standard operating procedures, processes, templates, examples, checklists, tools, and policies for inclusion in a process library to support the advancement of the IT benchmarking program.
Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of practical industry, government, and/or consulting experience in information technology management.
- Five (5) years of experience in contingency contracting and/or experience in managing/using contingency tools.
- IT project management experience using various Microsoft tools.
- Knowledge and experience in managing information technology services and strategies.
- Technical skill in benchmarking IT services and support for best practices
- Proficiency in basic analytical software such as Microsoft Excel and Access, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, to include Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
- Must possess an active DOD Secret clearance at the time of proposal submission.
