Logistics Specialist

Coperion is now hiring a Logistics Specialist to join our team!

The Logisitics Specialist will work to ensure timely delivery of quality products. Process work orders and prepares product for shipping.

Work You'll Do:

• Works with Assembly Lead to ensure timely delivery of quality products.
• Performs other related duties such as attaching decals; performing minor paint touchup; testing; installing plumbing, electrical controls, timing devices; and securing nuts and bolts, guards, belts, chains and many small parts.
• Packages assembled product securing, tagging, and attaching any loose hardware. Prepares packing lists and records on shipping log noting any shortages
• Loads packaged equipment on trucks and works with the Traffic Coordinator to contact transportation carriers and customers to coordinate shipping. Documents shipments by taking pictures.
• Constructs skids and crates for outbound shipping.
• Ships UPS and FedEx Packages.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year prior shipping experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles and maintain a current drivers' license.
• Skill in operating various office equipment including personal computer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine, calculator, postage meter, etc.
• Skill in reading and applying basic mathematical computations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of shipment techniques, documentation procedures, inventory control measures, and material handling practices.
• Knowledge of production processes and procedures.
• Knowledge of supervisory techniques to accomplish instruction, motivation, and training of personnel.
• Skill in operating a forklift, pallet jack, hoist, tractor trailer, semi trailer, and vans.
• Ability to organize, prioritizes, and handles multiple work assignments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
