El Centro's Student Success Leaders are critical to our mission, as undergraduate student employees who assist with managing our front office/reception area and helping professional staff with projects. Student Success Leaders are responsible for being the first point of contact for El Centro's visitors, including students, staff, and community members. As such, Student Success Leaders are responsible for keeping the "Home Away From Home" environment that El Centro is known for, and directing students and other visitors to appropriate resources on campus. Student Success Leaders will leave UNM & El Centro not only equipped with the knowledge learned from their program of study but also with hands-on experience and tangible skills for post-graduation endeavors. Minimum Qualifications Preferred Qualifications -Excellent customer service. -Ability to work in a team environment. -Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures. -Professional attitudes: punctual, responsible, reliable, and proactive. -Fluent in Spanish and English is preferred, but not required. -Ability to prioritize when assigned multiple tasks. -Ability to understand most operating systems and computer software. -Ability to maintain calendars and schedule appointments. -Must have strong interpersonal and communication (written & oral) skills to work effectively with a wide range of diverse communities.
