A Brief Overview
The Financial Analyst supports the company's Financial Planning and Analysis Team on matters related to forecasts, budgets, fair values, derivatives, and public/private equity investments. This role maintains financial models and forecasts of earnings, liquity, assists with preparing budget and forecasts and analysis to support departmental efforts across a variety of areas including real estate and company valuations, liquidity modeling, capital projections, budgeting and administration of the Company's private equity investments. This role prepares ad hoc analysis and reports, as needed.
What you will do
- Maintains financial models and forecasts of earnings, liquidity, and value to inform the business.
- Assists/prepares budget and forecasting deliverables utilizing planning, analysis, and modeling skills.
- Performs performance reporting and forecasting. Helps maintain the company's reporting infrastructure.
- Supports quarterly and annual valuations and external audit reviews with third-party servicers.
- Provides support to the company's accounting teams on matters related to forecasts, budgets, fair values, derivatives, and public/private equity investments.
- Supports the development, testing, and preparation of the annual operating budget and multi-year plans.
- Provides policy compliance monitoring for derivative and/or valuation policies.
- Performs ad-hoc analysis in support of management decision making.
- Balances conflicting resource and priority demands, while meeting deadlines..
- Pursues self-improvement in technical and management skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting and/or finance
- Master's Degree MBA/MS/MAcc Preferred
- 1 - 2 years financial planning and analysis experience Required
- 1-3 years ERP and Business Intelligence tools Preferred
- 1-3 years Workday and/or Adaptive Planning experience Preferred
- Requires a detail oriented, self-starter who takes initiative and can be a part of a team.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office applications. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
- Ability to prioritize work, strong organizational skills.
- Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and knowledge of accounting practices and concepts.
- Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and industry professionals.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) within 2-3 Yrs Preferred
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) within 2-3 Yrs Preferred
