The Opportunity

The Internatioanl Shipping Clerk is focused on international orders, responsible for coordinating the daily operations of international shipping. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and have an understanding of customs regulations and shipping documentation. They should also be able to develop positive working relationships with customers, freight forwarders, and other internal and external stakeholders.

You will make an impact by....

• Coordinating all outbound international shipments, ensuring that they meet customer requirements and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
• Creating and maintaining accurate records, including proper shipping documentation, bills of lading, invoices, and customs declarations.
• Communicating with internal and external stakeholders regarding the status of shipments, customs requirements, and other critical information.
• Creating and maintaining letters of credit, including timely submission of accurate documentation, complying with regulations, updating terms, and monitoring of deadlines.
• Optimize shipment routing to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Prepare all major data entry and confirmation of key milestones (departure ,arrival, customs clearance, PODs, etc.)
• Provide support and guidance to customers on international shipping requirements, including customs regulations and documentation.
• Review and classify shipments according to customs laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with all relevant requirements.
• Communicate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to facilitate clearance and delivery of shipments.
• Prepare, process and coordinate international orders for shipping.
• Responsible for all visual compliance checks for the Americas International orders

The talent we want to inspire has...

• 1-2 years of experience in international shipping and forwarding.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, co-workers, and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of international shipping practices and shipping documentation.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and experience with logistics and shipment management software
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and to meet deadlines.

This could be an added advantage...

• Bilingual abilities in Spanish and English.
• Experience with freight forwarding and customs brokerage processes.
