Second Shift - Monday - Thursday 4pm-2:30am. Starting pay is $18 per hour with the $1.25 shift differential.

What We're Seeking

A responsible individual who is quality-conscious, that will transport, receive and inventory all incoming bread products.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

General



  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure food safety and integrity.
  • Always follow safety protocols and use designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in required areas.
  • Follow additional tasks as assigned by Supervisor, Lead or Line Controller.
  • Collaborate, communicate, and learn from people with different backgrounds, cultures, abilities, languages, or perspectives.


Food Safety and Quality



  • Execute assigned food safety, quality and continuous improvement ensuring to support SQF requirements, regulatory requirements, and customer's requirements.
  • Report any questionable products to Line Controller, AQ, QC, Lead or Production Supervisor before bringing to line.


Leadership



  • Assist in providing a friendly & positive work environment.
  • Follow Company policies & procedures.


Lean/Continuous Improvement



  • Control and watch for material waste, i.e., floor waste, over portioning of raw material on sandwiches.
  • Transfer bread to and from various locations using handheld device.
  • While unloading the trailers, monitor the condition of the products and the trainer for pest infestation and other objectionable materials.
  • Make sure that all stacks of bread/buns are clearly labeled as to the date it was manufactured and potentially the date it was frozen and taken out of the freezer. Line up bread in order of date and use per line bread staging area.
  • Perform and monitor inventory counts throughout the production week.
  • Remove any empty racks and dollies from the bread prep area. Make sure to put the correct racks and dollies on the correct supplier's trailer.
  • Sweep the bread/bun dock area floor as needed. Ensure there is no debris in the aisle daily.
  • Record any product disposed of on the proper paperwork and give to the Data Center so that bread balancing can take place.
  • Keep exit doors and walkways clear of clutter and not blocked.

What You'll Need (Qualifications)

Required



  • Able to work well with others and have a teamwork mindset; communicated effectively as possible.
  • Able to maintain a good attendance record.
  • Able to keep work area clean, safe and organized.
  • Organizational experience necessary.
  • Able to communicate in English.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Depending on production schedule, must be able to lift over 10 lbs occasional within a 10-12.5 hour shift, depending on your assigned schedule.
  • Overtime may be required as needed.


Preferred



  • Food related experience.


Physical Demands/Work Environment



  • Able to work in cool conditions (35-45 degrees) continuously.
  • Able to be on feet continuously.
  • Able to bend, turn, push, pull frequently.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs rarely.
  • Able to reach overhead frequently.
