Job Title:Speech Language Pathologist, Advanced Clinician
Site:Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Charlestown, MA Stnd Hrs/week:40 Shift:Day Full/Part Time:Full Regular/Temp:Regular Job Summary Provide evaluation and treatment to patients of all ages with speech, language, cognitive-communicative, voice and swallowing disorders. Practice in collaboration with other members of interdisciplinary team. Educate patients, families and others. Key responsibilities *Orient, train and mentor SLP and health care students to achieve stated performance expectations. *Manage technical, environmental, and financial resources effectively and efficiently. *Assess speech, language, cognitive-communicative, voice and swallowing skills according to organizational and professional guidelines. *Individually-tailor treatment plans to reflect an understanding of patients' age and situation including discharge plan. *Re-assess patient status and modify treatment plan based on patient progress towards stated goals. *Document diagnostic findings and patient performance in the treatment program. *Ensure documentation is complete, timely and in accordance with facility and practice guidelines. *Identify performance improvement opportunities and act upon as appropriate to implement best practices. Qualifications: Education/Degree Required Master's degree in Communication Disorders from an ASHA accredited university program and Experience Required 1 year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist working as part of a multidisciplinary team. Must have Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association or is completing the ASHA Clinical Fellowship Year covering a minimum of 36 weeks and 1,260 hours of on-the-job training. Licensure required Must have valid Massachusetts license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist Physical Requirements
