We are currently seeking motivated candidates for a Full Time Training Specialist position at our Home Office in Auburn Hills. This position may require travel to local Genisys branches.

Position Purpose:

Assists in overseeing and coordinating the development, implementation, and updating of training programs for all FSR positions. Ensures that Financial Service Representative functions are performed in accordance with established Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulations. Presents Financial Service Representative training sessions. Updates and develops new training procedures to meet current needs. Updates training policies and procedures and conveys and clarifies related information to branch personnel and management. Provides direction to assigned employees. Maintains Credit Union library and material check out for staff. Develops and maintains Credit Union training materials. Completes miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Job Duties (include but not limited to):

  • Provides instruction to FSR's regarding all transactions, error corrections, and balancing procedures. Provides judgment training, clarifying policies, and answering questions.
  • Provides on-site branch training and support, and conducts follow-up training sessions as requested.
  • Assists in evaluating and updating training programs, manuals, and materials that positively impact member service. Evaluates training needs regularly.
  • Answers questions and assists with problems. Conveys and clarifies new policies and procedures and acts as a resource consultant for FSR's.
  • Ensures that FSR's perform assigned duties in accordance with Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulations. Identifies problems with service delivery and provides recommendations to resolve them.
  • Monitors individual employee progress through evaluating performance, administering assessments, and providing feedback.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One to Two years of related experience in Teller and Member Service functions.
