Location:FL-Jacksonville Job Title: News Editor - WFOX TV Position Overview WFOX TV Jacksonville has a great opportunity for a full-time News Editor. When the news is happening, we are at work, so you'll need to be prepared to work contributing to all of our platforms: TV, Radio, and Digital. This position requires flexibility to work overnights, early mornings, late nights, holidays and weekends as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Edit all types of video needed for newscasts, special elements, and other productions, adjusting for various distribution platforms as necessary Operate the Signal Acquisition desk to receive feeds and live shots via all available paths Communicate openly with producers, managers, and directors -- do not assume the right thing will happen if you are not pro-active Minimum Qualifications Degree or working toward a degree in electronic media Preferred Qualifications 2 years of non-linear editing for live, deadline-dependent situations About Cox Media Group CMG Media Corporation (d/b/a Cox Media Group) is an industry-leading media company with unparalleled brands, award-winning content, and exceptional team members.
