*We are hiring an entry-level Prior Authorization Representative! * Job Description A Prior Authorization Representative is responsible for efficiently and accurately processing prior authorization requests. This role ensures timely and appropriate access to care while adhering to utilization management policies.
Responsibilities * Handle prior authorization requests from providers, patients, and internal departments. * Verify eligibility, benefits, and collect necessary documentation for requests. * Maintain quality control by ensuring accuracy in processing and identifying potential errors. * Provide clear and accurate information to patients regarding their prior authorization requests. Essential Skills * Risk management * Project coordination * Care coordination * HMO Insurance * Authorizations * Insurance Verification * Data Entry * Utilization Management Process Additional Skills & Qualifications * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Ability to prioritize tasks effectively. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Proficiency in computer software and data management systems. * Knowledge of healthcare and managed care principles. * Experience with prior authorization processes is preferred. * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred. * Ability to handle confidential information and maintain HIPAA compliance.
