Resident Solutions Architect (Multiple Positions), Databricks, Inc., San Francisco, CA. Responsible for architecting, designing and implementing advanced, customer-specific big data analytics solutions using advanced knowledge of data architecture, data mining, data engineering, machine learning, computer programming and emerging open source technologies such as Apache Spark. Understand customer requirements and evaluate various Databricks runtime spark technologies to fulfill them. Create initial proof of concepts for building end to end solutions which satisfy customer requirements using Databricks technology platform. Design overall end to end architecture. Develop and review software modules in Python, Scala or Java, SQL. Identify and improve new plans that help customers to turn their data into relevant value and align these plans with their outcomes for continued success. Architect production-level workloads, including end-to-end pipeline load performance testing and optimization. Provide recommendation for solving complex software engineering problems and designing solutions on cloud infrastructure and services, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Provide technical guidance during implementation phase of customers’ requirements. Analyze strategic customer existing pain points and develop code to solve scalability performance and stability requirements using Data and AI Technologies that utilize Databricks platform, including Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, and OLAP. Review customer implementation code and notebooks and provide feedback on effective use of Databricks technologies. Build reference architectures, how-tos and demo applications of Databricks products for customer use. Track customer development roadmaps during the implementation phase and provide latest Databricks product implementation code to solve complex requirements. May telecommute from any US location. 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary Range: $227,200– $237,200/yr.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or related field plus five (5) years of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience.
In the alternative, will accept a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or related field plus three (3) of experience.
Require experience in the following areas:
· Design and implementation experience in big data technologies including at least one of the following: Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP or OLAP; and · Programming experience with at least one of the following languages: Python, Scala or Java; · Experience designing solutions on at least one of the following cloud infrastructure and services: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
