Job Responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Advises on all technical operations of the Laboratory.
- Maintains current knowledge of the science surrounding these products, cellular therapy, and the regulatory environment.
- Collaborates with Laboratory Supervisor to provide oversight of lab techs, cell processing, SOP's, lab maintenance.
- Reviews contracts for new laboratory services and is involved in new lab equipment selection and validation as appropriate.
- Ensures compliance with organizational policies for the laboratory. Interprets, executes, and recommends policy modifications.
- Reviews, approves and signs off on all Quality Control activities in the Laboratory.
- Partners with Clinical Trials Office staff on clinical trials involving cell therapy.
- Implements and manages systems to manage, track and securely store product/patient files to meet or exceed institutional and external regulatory guidelines (FDA, FACT, and CAP)Implement and manage systems for secure storage and tracking of product and patient files in accordance with FDA, FACT, and CAP guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Ph.D. in Life Sciences or related field
- Experience:
- 5 years clinical processing of cellular products
- 3 years of operational management of a cell therapy laboratory
