The UC Irvine Libraries Business Office provides librarians and staff in financial management, budgeting, accounting, and administrative matters. We contribute to the UC Irvine Libraries Strategic Plan by collaborating with colleagues, outside vendors, and other departments to ensure that the financial resources align the Libraries's mission and vision.


Your Role on the Team

Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and organizational policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Contacts are both internal and external to the department.


What It Takes to be Successful

Required:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience conducting complex financial analysis, planning, preparation, and administration of a multi-million dollar budget.
  • Thorough knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems.
  • Ability to independently gather required information to organize, and perform financial analysis assignments.
  • Proven ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proven ability using spreadsheet and database software for complex financial analysis, fiscal management, and financial reports.
  • Proven interpersonal skills with peers throughout the organization; strong service orientation and critical thinking skills; and attention to detail. Proven ability using organizational skills to multi-task in a high volume environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to function as a member of a team.
  • Ability to work creatively, collaboratively, and effectively and to promote teamwork, diversity, equality, and inclusiveness within UC Irvine Libraries and the campus.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify problems, gather information from multiple sources, analyze complex data, devise and evaluate solutions, make recommendations and implement selected solutions.
  • Skill to develop new systems and procedures to improve delivery of services.

Preferred:

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
  • Knowledge of working in a Library environment.
  • Knowledge and experience using Kuali Financial System, Decision Support, UCPath Reports, Tableau, and data warehouse for research and reporting purposes.
  • BS/BA related degree; Finance/Accounting

Total Compensation

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $77,000.00- $92,550.00 (Annual).
