The Field Based Practice Engagement Specialist will effectively support the network team to engage contracted providers to discuss the value-based care incentive arrangements.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (may need to be flexible with morning and evening hours)

Location: Phoenix and surrounding areas in Arizona. If travel is more than 100 miles rental car is provided.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Drive engagement and process improvement to improve quality within contracted physicians
  • Meet with non-engaged providers to verbalize the importance of the valued based care arrangement
  • Ability to expand the network through obtaining contracts with provider offices
  • Perform network analysis and strategy development and implementation
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines
  • Recommend utilization or expansion of networks for various products
  • Serve as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret information from others
  • Ability to be able to train and educate across departments on sales tactics.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 2+ years of face-to-face customer service experience
  • 1+ years of experience with behavioral change management
  • 1+ years of experience working with excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying information in a manner that others can understand, as well as the ability to understand and interpret information from others
  • Access to a designated quiet workspace in your home (separated from non-workspace areas) with the ability to secure Protected Health Information (PHI)
  • Live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
  • Reside within a commutable distance to Phoenix and surrounding communities in Arizona
  • Access to reliable transportation and the ability to travel 75% of the time within 150 miles of territory assigned
  • Current and non-restricted state of Arizona driver's license and state-required insurance

  • Project management experience
  • Knowledgeable in understanding contacts

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
