The Position
Job TitleMortgage Post Sale Analyst
Job Description
SUMMARY Responsible for assisting the Post Sale Team in management of workload and job functions. Ensure that loans are managed and in accordance with investor, insurer, company policies and procedures and guidelines. They will assist in processes critical to Credit Reporting, REO, Property Preservation and Claim functions. The selected candidate will be expected to deliver on responsibilities in support of multiple areas across the business and related strategic objectives for these departments. This position will also be available for special projects outside of this department and within Training and Quality Control if needed. Work in conjunction with the management team in providing the best resolution under general directions with substantial latitude to improve and prevent losses. Performs all duties in accordance with the company's policies and procedures and all US state and federal laws and regulations wherein the company operates. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
- Assist Claims Manager with aspects of the day-to-day operations of claims production and remain current on tort reform and aware of impact on claims management strategies
- Assist Claims Manager to manage, prepare and file claims as needed.
- Assist Claims Manager to manage and document system(s) with appropriate tasking and comments.
- Assist the Claims Manager to manage Claim Vendor and ensure required documentation is included in the Claim File and uploaded to the agency system as applicable.
- Assist the Claims Manager to manage the vendor and confirm they are completing quality review, complete corrections timely and accurately.
- Assist Credit Reporting Manager, managing all disputes received, are accurately responded to by reviewing CRRG, FCRA, RESPA, Investor, and any additional guidelines that may apply.
- Will serve as an in-house specialist in credit reporting rules and regulations in relation to compliance and dispute resolution.
- Responsible for researching, resolving, and responding to mortgage claims of errors and/or inaccurate reporting of credit information, while maintaining a high level of productivity and accuracy
- Assist Property Preservation Manager with the Property Preservation process to ensure property preservation and repair work is completed in line with investor and insurer guidelines
- Assist REO Manager with Auction and REO process to ensure properties are liquidated in line with investor and insurer guidelines
- Assist REO and Property Preservation Manager, manage escalated issues or concerns
- Assist REO Manager manage, and review sale offers, review counter offers, seek approval acceptance of contract and/or negotiations, assign property to closing agents/attorneys for closing process
- Assist with managing timelines with Loss Mitigation, Bankruptcy and Foreclosure and implement process improvements.
- Owning P&Ps to ensure they are correct and up to date
- Assist Claims, Credit Reporting and REO/Property Preservation Manage in developing and maintaining company policy and procedures, focusing on compliance and risk management for the Organizations' Mortgage Servicing Platform that directly affect the processes involved within Post Sale Team.
- Assist with partnering with an analytical team to produce necessary results and trending reports for leadership and provide technical guidance to staff on claim investigation, reserving evaluation and resolution of claims
- Assist perform audits consisting of review, analysis, risk assessment, and testing of sample populations.
- Actively participate in meetings with teams and supported lines of business to review findings and remediation related to audits performed.
- Gather and review further information, conduct additional analysis, research and testing as needed, including targeted reviews.
- Assist Supervisor/Manager in developing department job aids.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned

- Proficiency in Excel moderate and light in Word
- Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
- Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
- Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
- Recommends to supervisor possible methods to improve department.
- Completes all required compliance exams on a yearly basis.

- 2-3 years Mortgage Servicing experience
- 1-2 years in Default Servicing

Physical Working Conditions This is somewhat sedentary work that requires the following physical activities:

- Occasional lifting (up to 10 pounds of computer equipment or paper).
- May be required occasionally to stoop or kneel.
