Midwest Veterinary Supply is seeking an Accounts Receivable Associate for our Lakeville, MN Corporate office.

Job Summary:
Process and apply credit card, wire, ACH, and COD transactions according to the directive of our customers and computer-generated data. Accomplish all tasks with absolute accuracy and with respect to security risks involved with the handling of customer's bank and credit card data protocol. This position will also back up other essential AR positions in the event fellow team members are out of the office.

Essential Job Functions:

50% of the time: Take incoming customer calls and process credit card or ACH payments as requested.

30% of the time: Process and post payments received via check, credit card, auto charge payments, ACH, EFT, and COD to the appropriate outstanding invoices.

20% of the time: Assist with posting of daily bank receipts when assistance is needed.

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

Education:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • A two-year associate's degree or equivalency is required.

Experience:

  • A minimum of two years of customer service experience.
  • A working knowledge of general accounts receivable principles.
  • Experience working in Accounts Receivables.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Basic computer skills, ability to operate a Windows-based computer and data entry.
  • Ability to work accurately with numbers and highly detailed information.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs, especially a level of proficiency using Excel.
  • Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to demonstrate diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Must be flexible, open minded, self-motivated and able to work independently.

Mental Effort

  • Attention to detail to assure accuracy of amounts and invoices in question
  • Frequent deadlines must be met requiring a fast pace of work
  • Regular contact with the customers, sales teams and other Midwest department personal.

Physical Requirements

  • Continuous and sometimes rapid writing and use of a computer keyboard
  • Continuous use of a monitor
  • Frequent use of a telephone - listening and speaking
  • Ability to work at a desk throughout the day

Equipment Used:
Regularly uses typical office equipment including computer keyboard and monitor, telephone, fax, and copier.

Work Environment:

This role may be in office, hybrid or remote.
