KPMG is currently seeking a US Head of Benefits to join ourTalent & Culture, Total Rewards organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the US firm's benefits and wellbeing strategy, plans, programs and activities; scope includes all health and welfare, pension and wealth management and wellness programs
  • Ensure that the firm's benefits and wellbeing processes, plans, programs and tools are world class, competitive, cost effective and most importantly, support business strategy, enhance organizational capability and foster partner and employee engagement
  • Engage in new initiatives to define the benefits and wellbeing opportunities at KPMG and secure commitment to the firm's mission and values; contribute ideas and lessons learned in prior experience in driving large-scale change and enhancing employee excellence through total rewards and human capital strategies
  • Continuously assess status of the firm's various benefits and wellbeing plans, programs, processes, tools, in-source/outsource strategies and communication, including initiatives to determine market competitiveness, ease of administration, cost containment and alignment with business strategy
  • Establish and uphold credibility and demonstrate ability to add value with senior business leaders at all levels, up through key Board committees through demonstrating an understanding of their business challenges and through sharing relevant solutions and opportunities for benefits and wellbeing effectiveness

Qualifications:

  • Minimum ten years of recent experience, with at least three years in a similar leadership role; professional services firm experience preferred; working knowledge and experience with regulations and statutes that govern benefit plan design, implementation and communications including: FLMA, OSHA, ADA, IRS Sections 125, 401(k), 403(b) as they pertain to retirement and pension plan design, Medicare, Social Security, COBRA, HIPPA and ERISA
  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited university or college; advanced degree (MBA, JD, HR, Behavioral Science) and/or benefits, pension, and well-being certifications (such as CEBs, GBA, CBF, CWP, CPC or SHRM) preferred
  • Proven track record of successfully designing, implementing, communicating and operationalizing creative, world-class benefits and wellbeing programs and effective delivery systems that have a clear impact on the performance of a large organization and enhance the firm's ability to attract, develop and retain world class talent
  • Experience overseeing and leading all aspects of benefits and wellbeing, including a proven record of installing/overseeing contemporary and cost-effective programs; experience preferably includes all aspects of benefits including retirement/pension, health & welfare and wellbeing
  • Understanding of business strategies, competitive challenges and the financial impact of HR decisions; strategic thinking and decision-making skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset are essential; strong affinity for detail, data and behavioral design; possesses significant experience leveraging data and analytics, benefits program value realization and user experience listening methods to foresee trends and respond to program improvement opportunities
  • Capability, energy, experience, business acumen and outlook to play a true leadership and business partner role at the executive team and Board levels; good understanding of corporate governance practices and processes; integrity and the executive presence to address senior-level interpersonal relationships and sensitive personnel issues is critical

Additionally, each year the firm publishes a calendar of holidays to be observed during the year and provides two firmwide breaks each year where employees will not be required to use Personal Time Off; one is at year end and the other is around the July 4th holiday.
