This candidate will be working with Acquired Entities, Internal ITAM team and different stakeholders. Responsible for the daily and regular strategic management of IT hardware (Ends user, Server & Network Infrastructure assets) for Acquired Entities. This includes planning, monitoring, and recording hardware assets to ensure compliance. Develop and implement procedures for tracking company assets to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles. Manage and monitor the asset management system to ensure IT asset data is captured, recorded, and updated in a timely manner. Assist with the development and implementation of processes and procedures that are consistent with industry best practices for tracking assets through the asset lifecycle.

Responsibilities:



  • Design processes relating to hardware asset management, execute and enhance them
  • Apply a continuous improvement approach in enhancing the strategies employed as well as in tracking company assets throughout their lifecycle
  • Ensure effective management of the Asset Management database/tool and responsible for managing lifecycle of hardware assets right from their procurement to their retirement
  • Provide KPI/Metric information and standardized reporting on a scheduled basis together with unscheduled reporting demanded by management
  • Establish and maintain documentation of procedures, processes, and reports concerning asset
  • Collaborate with Non-Integrated entities and different stakeholders to determine trends in asset performance and work to improve the processes and metrics
  • Perform research on industry best practice and incorporate it with organizational practices
  • Work with NIEs to ensure proper chain of custody process, controls and data management from purchase through disposal
  • Analyze existing operations and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the end user, server & network infrastructure and IT systems
  • Work to develop a master asset management plan specifically attuned for all devices. Assess and manage risks associated with current assets
  • Maintain accuracy of IT asset inventory
  • Complete tasks assigned on a schedule as part of a project and daily operations
  • Provide knowledgeable input on projects related to asset management

Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 5+ years of experience and strong knowledge of IT hardware (Ends user, Server & Network Infrastructure assets)
  • 5+ years of experience working in IT Asset Management
  • 5+ years of experience with IT Service Management processes, as well as experience with Discovery tool


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT or related field
  • Proven ability and experience in executing strategic asset management processes successfully
  • IAITAM Certification, such as CHAMP, CSAM and CITAM
  • Knowledge of data center infrastructure and end user technology environments
  • Good understanding of hardware asset management policies, procedures and best practices
  • Moderate to Advanced experience using MS Excel, SQL and similar tools
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and present results to business leaders

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
