The Adobe Journey Optimizer Team develops services and tools for enterprise customers to engage with end-users.

What will you do

A software development engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining software services, frameworks, and tools that enable the overall quality of software products.

  • Develop, design, and maintain utilities that allow automation of end-to-end customer use cases.

  • Build, develop, test & deploy frameworks and tools.

  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to identify areas of improvement and automation that can ultimately improve software quality.

  • Understand customer workflow and translate it to test cases that need to be built and automated.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for software automation processes and tools.

  • Fix and debug issues in test frameworks and software applications.

  • Keep up to date with the latest software technologies and tools.

  • Ensure software utilities and processes are reliable, scalable, and efficient.

  • Manage test frameworks that can be used by other developers.

What you need to succeed

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent engineering degree with 2+ years of experience working on enterprise software in a distributed system. 1+ years working with data processing systems.

  • 4-6 years of relevant industry experience.

  • Experience supporting web services in Java/Scala, RESTful APIs.

  • Experience with API and microservices testing.

  • Experience supporting streaming technologies like Kafka.

  • Proven ability to develop robust, efficient, high-quality code.

  • Great teammate with a thirst to learn and take ownership in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

  • Self-starter requiring minimal direction.

  • Experience using NoSQL datastores, and data access patterns and strategies is a plus.

  • Knowledge or exposure to modern development patterns: Agile, CI/CD, Kubernetes, micro-services architecture is a plus.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $113,400 -- $206,300 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
