Program Manager - Client Management

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000/year

Summary:

The Program Manager - Client Management plays a critical role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex manufacturing programs for key clients. In this role, you will lead the client management team, serving as the primary escalation point and ensuring clients receive exceptional service, timely communication, and operational transparency. This position serves as the leadership contact between internal cross-functional teams and external customers, ensuring client requirements are met while maintaining manufacturing schedules, cost targets, and quality standards. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to manage multiple concurrent programs across engineering, production, supply chain, quality, and field service to ensure client requirements are met and exceeded.

This position is based in Darien, WI.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

* Lead and mentor the Client Management Team, including Project Managers and Program Coordinators

* Set performance expectations, conduct regular coaching and performance reviews, and foster professional development within the team

* Allocate resources and manage team capacity to meet program and client demands

Client Relationship Management

* Serve as the senior point of contact for key clients, ensuring alignment between internal operations and customer requirements

* Build and maintain strategic relationships that drive long-term partnerships and business growth

* Manage escalations and resolve complex client issues with diplomacy and urgency

Program Planning & Delivery

* Own the end-to-end lifecycle of major client programs from onboarding through delivery, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget

* Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Field Service to translate client needs into executable project plans

Change & Risk Management

* Oversee change management processes, including change orders, scope adjustments, and new product introductions

* Proactively identify risks to delivery, cost, or client satisfaction and implement mitigation strategies

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

* Develop and report on KPIs, including on-time delivery, client satisfaction, margin contribution, and quality metrics

* Lead internal and external program reviews, presenting performance updates, risk assessments, and improvement plans

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Business, or related field (required)
• 7+ years of experience in program or project management in a manufacturing environment
• 3+ years of experience leading client-facing teams or customer account functions
• Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex programs involving cross-functional collaboration
• Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, supply chain, and quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949)
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet)

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience with OEM relationships or contract manufacturing clients
• Background in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
