Job Summary Develops and directs special programs and signature programs in support of district Afterschool Programs' objectives. The Supervisor for Afterschool Program Projects is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the school district's innovative afterschool inititatives. The Supervisor is also responsible for securing outside district funding through grants and/or donations to suppor the 5000 Role Models of Excellence. This role includes managing district signature programs such as the 5000 Role Models of Excellence, nighttime substance abuse ZIP/SOS programs, and comprehensive mentoring programs. The Superviosr will provide strategic planning, administrative oversight , and program evaluation to ensure that these initiatives align with the district's prevention and intervention program goals and meet the needs of our student population. The incumebent will be responsible for working outside of normal working hours, in addition to working on Saturdays. Essential Functions 1. Develops and enhances programs and initiatives to expand community engagement in the schools. 2. Oversees engagement activities and monitors the effectiveness of mentoring programs. 3. Supervises and trains assigned staff, conducts performance appraisals, makes employment and discipline recommendations, and coordinates work assignments. 4. Develops and delivers in-service training and materials to school-based personnel regarding the 5000 Role Models of Excellence and other afterschool programs, which include parent participation and engagement. 5. Prepares and maintains informational copy for the 5000 Role Models of Excellence and Nighttime Programs web page. 6. Raises and secures grants and/or outside private donations to support the 5000 Role Models of Excellence programming and activities (minimum of $50,000 per fiscal year). 7. Monitors and provides leadership for the various nighttime programs to ensure their efficiency. 8. Ensures that all staff credentials and Position Control Forms (PCFs) are submitted in a timely manner. 9. Collaborates with school principals, staff, and community partners to develop and refine program initiatives. 10. Oversees new and developing district-based mentoring programs, provides support to schools and mentors, and evaluates outcomes as the lead administrator responsible for reviewing documents. 11. Maintains accurate records of participation statistics in the nighttime programs. 12. Administers and analyzes district-wide data to assess program performance and drive continuous improvement. 13. Prepares and submits annual budget estimates that balance requirements with available resources. 14. Promotes community involvement by serving on and participating in local councils and committees. 15. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Experience: Three (3) years experience in department or program management. Five (5) years experience in a community relations capacity that includes involvement in enrichment programs, development of community partnerships, and/or volunteer activities. One (1) year experience in pre-employment or pre-volunteer screening. Certifications & Licenses: NA Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
