Data Scientist (Multiple Positions)

Data Scientist (Multiple positions), Databricks, Inc., San Francisco, CA. Develop and implement models to detect anomalous activity, conduct forecasting and optimization, or build scaled and automated solutions for products that Databricks offers. Analyze performance and pricing or current expenditures of features and work with product and engineering teams to identify important opportunities to scale cost. Gather changing requirements, define project OKRs and milestones, and communicate progress to both technical and non-technical audiences. Help build a data-driven culture within Databricks by helping define and measure top company priorities through data analysis. Represent Databricks at academic and industrial conferences and events. 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. $158,642 - $190,200/yr.  

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, or a related field and one (1) year of experience in a data or software engineering role.

In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in a data or software engineering role.

Qualifying experience must include one (1) year in each of the following:

-       Data science, machine learning, and advanced analytics;

-       Deploying data science or machine learning solutions in production;

-       Coding in Python and SQL;

-       Distributed data processing systems such as Spark; and

-       Software engineering principles around testing, code reviews and deployment.

Up to 10% travel (domestic/international) based on business need.
