Job Description The ACS Publications, a division of the American Chemical Society (ACS), is searching for an energetic results-driven professional that will help us increase academic business in Latin America (Spanish countries). The Division publishes the most trusted content in science through 85+ high-quality peer-reviewed journals covering the breadth of chemistry and related sciences, as well as other high-quality products and services of benefit to the global community. The Division has US-based facilities in Washington, D.C. and Columbus OH, as well as worldwide operations and locations in UK, Singapore, China, and India. The ACS Publications' Hispanic Latin America Account Manager is responsible for supporting businesses and revenue growth in Latin America and the Caribbean by managing relationships, expanding our market presence, and driving sales within our academic sector. This position will be a key contributor to our business and revenue growth in the region. The candidate will identify, contact, and nurture qualified leads, understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions to enhance research. Our Latam Account Manager will be focus on executing sales strategies to increase subscriptions, licensing and institutional agreements; identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including Read & Publishing agreements; managing the sales pipeline using CRM. The activities include in-person, phone and online prospecting and meeting, participating in person events and exhibitions within Latin America, participation in marketing campaigns, webinars and web research. This role is to actively seek new academic business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with both existing customers and new prospects. The ideal candidate will be someone with science or business background who can work independently and within a team to maximize both revenue and customer satisfaction through informed and professional consultative sales. This position will require some travel within Latin America, as well as periodic travel in the US for team meetings. This position is based in the Columbus, OH office and will report the ACS Publications Latin America Manager. Primary duties are as follows: * Develop and execute sales plan to expand market share and revenue in Latin America within the academic sector. * Build and manage relationship with existing and potential customers. * Work with team members to plan and support business and engagement activities, including promotion these activities in the Latin America market such as webinars, trainings, as well as other events that help to disseminate ACS brand and ACS Publications' products in the region. * Identify, contact, and nurture qualified leads through in person interaction, phone and email prospecting, data analyses, marketing campaigns, events and web research. * Manage academic LATAM sales leads created by the marketing team. * Seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with both existing customers and new prospects. * Manage Hispanic LATAM academic renewal subscription processes. * Expand Read + Publish deals within the territory. * Identify, communicate, and work through customer problems, issues, and opportunities, to demonstrate the value of ACS scientific content. * Schedule sales calls and conduct those meetings. * Present ACS products, programs and solutions to customers and potential customers over the phone, email, online and in person. * Follow the established sales process and consistently utilize CRM to document prospect interaction, ensuring efficient lead and sales account and pipeline management. * Work with team members to plan, support, and participate at local sales and marketing activities such as email campaigns, sponsorships, roadshows, customer events, exhibits, etc. * Identify opportunities to develop partnerships with Latam institutions to promote ACS brands and products. * Assist in developing and documenting the yearly Sales and Business Plans for ACS Publications in Latin America.
