Description

The Maintenance Technician IV is a senior level role responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance operations. This includes providing direction to a team of technicians and operators to ensure the reliability and efficiency of operations of our manufacturing machinery and facility. This will require expertise in both mechanical and electrical systems, strong leadership abilities, and a strategic approach to maintenance management.

This full-time position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and is located at our Ramsey, Minnesota manufacturing facility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage all maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment and machinery.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to optimize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate and prioritize maintenance tasks to ensure efficient use of resources and timely completion of work orders.
  • Oversee the installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of equipment.
  • Mentor, train, and develop maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, parts usage, and equipment history.
  • Ensure appropriate level of communications regarding issues and repair status.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent from accredited institution.
  • 7+ years of experience as a maintenance tech/mechanic in manufacturing environment AND/OR satisfactory completion of level IV requirements from the LDI Maintenance Training Program.
  • Active Special Boiler License
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Solid understanding of facilities maintenance.
  • Understanding of preventative maintenance systems and project management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • 2+ year technical degree in Maintenance related field
  • 2nd Class Boiler Operator License or higher
  • Experience within the corrugated industry
  • Experience with operational excellence or continuous improvement programs - Lean 6 Sigma, Kaizen Events

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The starting pay rate for this position is $38.00per hour. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.
