The American Hospital Association (AHA) is a national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities. The AHA has two main offices, located in Washington, D.C. and Chicago. We are currently seeking a Senior Associate Director, Physician Payment Policy for our Washington, D.C. office. This position is a hybrid role (three days in the office, two days working remote). Starting base salary = $159,000- $199,000- $239,000 (commensurate with related experience). The AHA is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and location. The Senior Associate Director, Physician Payment Policy is responsible for advancing the AHA's policy and advocacy agenda related to alternative payment models, telehealth, and Medicare physician and Allied health payment issues that enable the American Health Association (AHA) to have a positive impact on the political and policy environment facing its members; to foster support and understanding of the members; and to assist the members in interpreting and thriving in that environment. Partner with others in the association on alternative payment, telehealth and Medicare physician and Allied health payment issues. Represent the AHA and AHA's policies in public forums and interact with AHA's members; Hill staff; Federal agency staff; and other relevant organizations. Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following: * Manage health policy issues, including alternative payment models, telehealth, and Medicare physician and Allied health payment issues, for AHA. Work with members to position the organization in terms of advocacy work on these issues.
