This position will provide strategic leadership, oversight and coordination of the department's marketing, revenue-generating, and ticketing operations. This position will report to the Director of Athletics along with direct collaboration across Athletic Communications, Facilities, Operations and Game Management. The position will oversee and supervise all employees of marketing, ticketing and revenue generation. The individual will serve on the Athletics Senior Leadership Team. Job Duties
Responsible for managing and directing marketing, ticketing and revenue generation functions including:
- Optimize and grow marketing and revenue-generating operations including growth of multi-media rights, ticket sales, promotions, parking, logos and licensing, concessions, and others.
- Work closely with the General Manager of Davidson Sports Properties to grow revenue and enhance the brand of and partnerships with Davidson Athletics.
- Oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive season ticket and single game ticket marketing and sales plans for all ticketed sports, with an emphasis on men's and women's basketball, including pricing strategies, renewals, and new business development including alumni, parents, faculty and staff, local businesses, and the greater Charlotte community.
- Conceive, develop and implement marketing plans for all varsity sports, focusing on generating attendance and providing in-game entertainment
- Develop marketing plans that will increase student attendance at all athletic events with a focus on men's and women's basketball.
- Manage internal and external compliance with institutional marks and logo use.
- Supervise and conduct performance evaluations for all marketing, ticket office and game management staff.
- Assist in event management for home contests.
- Serve as direct sport administrator for Baseball including direct supervision of the head coach and game management oversight.
- Serve on the Athletics Senior Leadership Team, providing input on management and strategy for the department.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics include ensuring compliance with NCAA, Conference, and College rules and regulations by all supervised staff.
Requirements Bachelor's degree; Valid driver's license; At least five years of relevant work experience Master's degree preferred Strong organizational, management and communication skills; an extensive background in marketing, revenue generation, public relations, communications, brand management, or related professional areas. Qualified candidates must demonstrate ability to use MS Access, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software.
