Leadership and Team Management
- Lead, mentor and motivate a high performing, customer-focused team of Account Executives (AE) to deliver customer value, solid relationships and achieve/exceed sales targets.
- Coach newer AEs in sales strategy, pipeline management, product knowledge, and sales cycles.
- Successfully execute the established AE new hire training with check in's in partnership with the Training Manager
- Establish "seed" territories for all new hire AE's prior to start date
- Recruit and develop qualified sales professionals with high potential and a proven track record of success.
- Navigate employees through change management with clear communication, fostering a shared vision, and supporting the team throughout the transition.
- Analyze sales data and reports to make actionable decisions regarding revenue, profitability, and customer churn.
- Complete monthly one on one's with the AE's to include pipeline reviews through Salesforce and margin improvement opportunities through the pricing QuickSight dashboard
- Deliver performance improvement plans when necessary for underperforming AE's
Sales Strategy Development
- Meet and exceed personal and team goals for profit, territory growth, revenue quota, organizational health, and customer satisfaction goals.
- Ensure all sales activities are captured and updated through the Salesforce tool including prospect status, contact names and opportunity definition
- Dedicate at least three days per week to field activities that include prospecting, sales process, business reviews and customer relationship building
- Hunt for new prospects and coach team on implementation cycle
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
- Identify new market opportunities and create action plans to capture them.
- Apply knowledge of the business, industry, and domain expertise to assist AEs in identifying, creating and closing profitable, margin enhancing business opportunities.
- Communicate and align with other departments to ensure smooth operations and alignment of goals.
- Build strong relationships with all internal stakeholders at Shorr Packaging Corp.
Customer Relationship Building and Vendor Management:
- Establish and execute quarterly business review process from creating the presentation to presenting the findings.
- Be the first contact in the sales process for large MLA customers that have many needs.
- Manage and close complex sales cycles with C-level decision makers.
- Collaborate with sourcing and build strong vendor relationships to drive sales. Help build a vendor score card and identify trends for leverage and improvement.
- Be curious and continuously look for new ideas and solutions in the market.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
- Minimum 5 years of related Sales leadership experience in an industrial setting or packaging preferred.
- In-depth sales experience with strong understanding of solution selling process.
- Effective influencing skills - adept at ability to understand the needs of, and ability to influence, personnel ranging up to C-level decision makers.
- Strong analytical skills to effectively track sales activity, develop sales plans, understand local market and competitive trends.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and pivot when necessary
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Strong negotiating skills to help close business
- Successful change management experience
- Demonstrated experience with challenging the status quo and bringing new ideas to the leadership team.
- Solid Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel
- Travel for this position is 25% national travel and frequent local day trips.
