Position Description
- Achieve order, revenue and profit goals within assigned Industrial markets. Review construction plans and specifications, perform quantity take-offs, and produce comprehensive customer proposals. Build and maintain sales opportunity pipeline within assigned industrial sectors with internal and external sales team. Respond to lead generation and order growth. Qualify and prioritize opportunities; help complete the sale and close business. Establish executive-level and operational-level contacts within target prospects. Follow, lead and champion the ETS Sales process through all stages.
- Support the development and implementation of Company selling campaigns to generate demand with target end-user and market segments, and to strengthen relationships with business partners. Assist with tradeshows, customer meetings, and customer & sales representative training initiatives across assigned territory. Help establish and strengthen customer references. Respond to assigned business inquiries and support proposal development as required.
- Strengthen industrial coverage by recruiting and growing strong business relationships with distribution channel partners. Provide training to new representatives in the areas of sales skills, product demonstrations, and territory management. Formulate, communicate and execute industrial sales plans to generate profitable orders and revenue. Provide quarterly plan status updates to senior management, Department and Company staff.
- Forecast and track opportunities through completion. Meet forecast report deadlines and support Company efforts to forecast near term orders and longer term demand. Support Department efforts to prioritize product shipments to maximize customer satisfaction.
Drive process to help prospective buyers discover and confirm their key operational and strategic issues, and their critical objectives and needs. Help buyers convert their needs into a desired future state or vision. Help convert the desired future state into a comprehensive high-level conceptual solution based on the Company's offering and technology architectures. Proactively provide recommendations that are in the best interests of the client; help buyers understand how to achieve additional business success and gain competitive advantage. Follow sales process provided along with supporting forms, data or other requested materials.
Leverage existing customer base to generate new business opportunities. Develop and implement plans to grow business with strategic customer accounts. Establish executive level contacts, identify account issues, buyers and influencers and the economic, technical, operational and market drivers. Identify, communicate and monitor strategic customer account selling status information back into the Company. Coordinate resources needed to identify and overcome barriers to sales growth.
Ensure consistent end-to-end management of non-standard deals and alignment to ETS-Lindgren special deals policy & procedures. Build relationship with relevant teams to enable close interaction for deal reviews to obtain the best overall answer for the Company.
Monitor and execute control of expenses such as travel, entertainment, advertising and promotion. Ensure expenses are within the prescribed budgets.
