Overview

The Claims Agent I is responsible for accurately and efficiently reviewing, processing, and resolving claims, while ensuring adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and customer service standards. This role involves examining claim forms and related documentation to assess insurance coverage and determine whether additional information is required.



Responsibilities

    Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, provide updates, and explain claim outcomes. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring resolution in a timely manner.
  • Review and assess claim documentation for accuracy, completeness, and validity. Determine claim eligibility based on policy terms, conditions, and coverage limits. Input claim details into the claims management system, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Work closely with internal teams, such as underwriting, legal, and finance, to resolve claims effectively. Coordinate with external vendors, adjusters, and other third parties involved in the claims process.
  • Maintain accurate records of claims and related correspondence. Generate claims reports to identify trends, patterns, or areas for improvement.
  • Stay up to date on industry regulations, company policies, and best practices related to claims management. Identify potential fraud or non-compliance issues and escalate them as required.
  • Support the development and implementation of improved claims workflows and procedures. Provide feedback and suggestions to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.


Qualifications

Education Qualifications

  • High School degree or GED Required
  • Some College/Associate's Degree or higher Preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • 1+ years experience in claims administration within the logistics industry Required

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail (Medium proficiency)
  • Ability to work in a team setting, across multiple time zones and global geographies (Medium proficiency)
  • Ability to determine resources to meet and exceed company and customer expectations (Medium proficiency)
  • Ability to problem solve and be solution oriented (Medium proficiency)
  • Computer Skills (Medium proficiency)
