The Director of Radiology is responsible for providing administrative, financial, regulatory, and operational leadership to the Department of Radiology at the hospital and provide support to outpatient local MCVP clinics. This individual is responsible for leading the delivery of outstanding patient care services to patients and ensuring that radiology is safe, effective, and aligns with the mission and vision of the VCU Health System. This position works closely with the Radiology Department Chair and organizational leadership.

Education Preferred:Advanced Degree/ Master's Degree in Radiation Science, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or closely related field. Licensing/ Certification Licensure Required:N/A Licensure Preferred:N/A Certification Required:Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) Certification Preferred:Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) and Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA). Minimum Qualifications Years and Type of Required Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively more responsible Radiology supervisory/management positions. Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:Extensive industry knowledge related to radiology services with a demonstrated history of delivering exceptional patient care. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required. Cultural Responsiveness. Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: Ten (10) plus years of progressively more responsible Radiology supervisory/management positions.
