Job Overview & Essential Functions

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for anIdentity Security Generalist.The primary function of this position is to provide Systems and Application Security administration functions for MHC IT applications, including, but not limited to the Business System, network, and 3rd Party Applications, as well as physical access points. Secondarily, this position will serve as the "second level" application security support resource for the Operations and Support Staff.

  • Responsible for application security administration associated with the MHC Business System, network, and 3rd Party Applications, as well as physical access points (fob/alarm code issuance).
  • Responsible for the security setup of MHC employee computer accounts on all applicable systems.
  • Processes IT security permissions related to personnel changes due to employee position changes and terminations, as well as one-off access requests that have received all proper approvals.
  • Assists the Helpdesk with handling of support calls as required.
  • Maintains accurate records of access permissions, changes, and approvals.
  • Provides support to users who encounter access-related issues.
  • Enforces access control policies and security protocols.
  • Assists with security audits and compliance assessments as necessary.
  • Promotes security awareness and adherence to access policies.
  • Adheres to principle of least privilege.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Two years' work experience in data security with demonstrated understanding and security proficiency on systems and applications or equivalent education/experience.
  • Experience with planning, assigning security roles and establishing groups to best meet the security requirements of the application.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to security best practices.
  • Adept at troubleshooting access-related issues.
  • Familiarity with security compliance standards and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory security.
  • Excellent Windows 10, 11 Server 2016 and Office 365 skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
