Job Description

Visa is seeking a transformational leader with deep product management experience for the role of Vice President, Product. This is a critical leadership role that will drive the democratization and expanded access to payment services, making them accessible to a broadening array of constituents across the commerce ecosystem. This leader will set the strategic direction and commercialize our global portfolio of In-Person Accept products, a fundamental Visa Value-Added-Service, that delivers omnichannel solutions to enhance payment integrations, offering sellers and acquirers tailored commerce experiences with payments seamlessly embedded.

This role provides an exciting opportunity to lead a global team and collaborate with cross-functional leaders on product innovation initiatives to drive growth. The successful candidate will have a substantial impact on our entire Acceptance Solutions product line and strategy. This is a significant opportunity to shape the future of payments.

This role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and reports to the SVP, Global Head of Product for Visa Acceptance Solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the integrated strategy and commercialization of Visa's In-Person Accept product portfolio. Lead stakeholder collaboration, product requirements definition, investment planning, product design and delivery.
  • Lead collaboration and engagement with internal and external ecosystem participants. Nurture and grow a global developer community.
  • Enable product leaders to rapidly innovate new products that deliver compelling commerce experiences.
  • Lead data driven analysis of product performance to identify insights, make recommendations and support decision making.
  • Work in close partnership with technology leaders, technical architects and engineers.
  • Drive marketing and commercialization decisions, including pricing and distribution strategies.
  • Develop strategies and drive implementation of capabilities to enable world class reliability and performance.
  • Ensure products are available in global markets, adhering to local regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Align product investments and roadmap with Visa's product priorities and long-term growth strategy.
  • Develop and grow a high-performing product management team with deep payment industry knowledge. Coach and inspire a team to solve challenging customer problems and address market opportunities with innovative solutions that will propel Visa's growth and leadership in payments.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

* 12 years of work experience with a bachelor's degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications:

* 15+ years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, PhD).

* 15+ years of experience leading a global, distributed, product management organization within a high growth business.

* Proven experience in product design of highly available, resilient, and scalable transaction-based systems.

* Deep technical competence. Demonstrated ability to drive strategies and collaborate with technical leaders in the areas of scalability, latency and cloud deployment.

* Payments industry knowledge and acceptance solutions expertise.

* Experience in growing and developing a technology partner ecosystem.

* Demonstrated ability to drive product vision, strategy, and roadmap execution.

* Executive presence with an ability to influence and work hands-on with product, technology, and other cross-functional team leaders.

* Strong communicator with the ability to clearly articulate complex business and technical concepts in a simple and intuitive way.

* Demonstrated commercial acumen. Results oriented with the ability to prioritize across multiple initiatives.

* Experience working in Agile framework and matrixed organizations. Applied experience in defining, implementing, and continually improving product management processes, utilizing industry best practices.

* Applied change management experience in the adoption of modern product management practices and GenAI productivity enhancement capabilities.

* Customer-centric mindset with strong customer collaboration and management skills.

* Demonstrated experience in attracting, retaining, and developing teams of high-performing product managers within a diverse and inclusive environment.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 247,300.00 to 386,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
