We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Welder with experience in welding domes, salvage operations, and tank fabrication/repair. This is a U.A.W represented position at our facility in Muskegon. The hourly pay for this position starts at $28.47 an hour.
Essential Functions: Dome welding Cylinder block liner weld (New and Reman) Salvage weld and repairs Weld ring gears Conduct quality inspections and ensure welds meet standards Interpret blue-print specifications and processes to determine appropriate welding processes. Prepare metal for welding which may involve cutting, grinding and cleaning. Adhere to safety procedures and regulations, wearing appropriate safety gear, and ensuring a safe working environment. All other duties as assigned Qualifications: Tig Welding experience required 2+ years machining experience High School Diploma or equivalent Must be able to read and understand processes and process drawings Must have mechanical skills Must have mathematical skills Must be able to lift up to and including 50 lbs. Must be able to bend and lift. Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance. Preferred Additional Skills: * 2+ years of assembly experience preferred | |
