This role work on a variety of financial projects to help give meaningful insights to key stakeholders within the Company.

  • Core responsibilities: 1. R&D, IT, G&A division Business Partner. 2. Database Administrator for forecasting tool. 3. Company-wide insurance policy management.

    R&D, IT and G&A Business Partner:



    • Become the subject matter expert for the R&D, IT and G&A divisions.
    • Understand and communicate the trends and levers to help drive business decisions.
    • Develop the quarterly forecasts, annual budget and 5-year plan for assigned divisions.
    • Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly internal reports and dashboards.
    • Perform monthly variance analysis and craft variance explanations comparing actual to budget and quarterly forecasts. Information must be clear, concise, and data driven. Present variance analyses and forecasts to Manager and VPs in assigned divisions. Presentations must also be clear, concise, and data driven.
    • Communicate observations and improvements through analytics and thoughtful interpretation of findings.
    • Support business leaders to derive business insights from data and translate into actionable business recommendations.



    Database Administrator for Forecasting Tool:



    • Become the subject matter expert for our forecasting tool. Currently using Workday Adaptive Insights.
    • Understand the architecture of the model, implement formula changes, maintain documentation.
    • Manage and maintain Office Connect reports, version management, and allocations.
    • Field questions from the team to help resolve system formula errors and trouble shoot issues.
    • Take a lead role in potential replacement of tool.


    Company-wide insurance policy management:



    • Assist Director in annual corporate insurance renewal process, monitor insurance requests, maintain documentation, and facilitate communication between the Company and our insurance broker.


    Other:



    • Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed.
    • Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity of documents, information, and interactions.
    • Work must be complete, accurate and easy to interpret.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.






What you bring to the role



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or other Business related degree
  • 5 years minimum related experience
  • CPA/MBA preferred
  • Understands core accounting concepts
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Experience in Workday Adaptive Planning or similar forecasting tool preferred

Location: Duarte, CA (remote with occasional "in office" days required). Must be willing to be "on camera" at all meetings.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm

Travel: Minimal
