Purpose of Position
The Regional Manager, Facility Operations will oversee ongoing and preventative maintenance at assigned FlightSafety locations as well as special maintenance projects by coordinating the work of contractors as well as supervising on-site maintenance employees.
Tasks and Responsibilities
The following duties are essential to the successful and satisfactory performance of this job. Other duties may be assigned.
- Lead a team at our Learning Centers with our mission for safe, cost-effective, and well-maintained facilities that attract and exceed customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for establishing best practices for the standardization and maintenance of systems. Such practices to include facility audits, asset performance review, and recommended enhancements based on life cycle cost assessments.
- Responsible for physical asset function, maintenance, and replacement. Establish asset inventory of systems and equipment. Maintain and coordinate design guides for seeking and evaluating proposals for replacement of assets.
- Develop strategy to complete facility condition assessments, including a list of backlog, maintenance, and repair work. Assist with cost forecasting and tracking in our CMMS platform.
- Act as the point of contact between the managers at assigned locations and contracted maintenance service providers and on-site Facility Managers and Technicians.
- Develop National Account partnerships with vendors.
- Support physical security plans and practices for each facility.
- Assist with developing and maintaining facility annual work plan and budget.
- Assist with planning and tracking for Capex and Opex projects and budgets based on current year and 5-year forecast.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures and checklists to ensure preventative maintenance tasks are carried on in a timely manner.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators to ensure assigned locations are meeting and exceeding the expectations of safety, appearance and cleanliness.
- Visit each assigned facility a minimum of one time annually.
- Review safety equipment to Learn the specific needs of each location.
- Develop a relationship with on-site Facilities team and management.
- Work closely with our Construction division on projects at the facility.
Minimum Education
- High School Diploma
- HVAC or other building trade certification preferred-OSHA, PMP or Six Sigma Certifications, preferred
Minimum Experience
- 10 years' experience in facility or property management with at least 2 years managing remote locations.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Fluency in English, through both verbal and written communications; able to speak, understand, read and write-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills including, MS Office suite.-Schedule: MS Project
- General understanding of permit requirements and building code requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills-Excellent ability to read construction drawings and schematics
- Familiarity with CAFM/IWMS Facility Management Software.
- Capable of problem solving, independent thinking and decision making. Able to work on multiple deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to interact with various levels of management in a professional manner
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and high-pressure situations
- This position requires international travel. Must be able to obtain appropriate documentation for international travel such as: a passport, employment pass, or work authorization visa
