Product Strategy Senior Engineer/Analyst
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Develop, prepare, and present product proposals for future vehicles.
* Develop and present strategic proposals for feature adoption, powertrain, trim grade, etc. * Advocate for the customer, especially in North American markets. * Collaborate cross-functionally to align on customer vision; work with U.S. sales affiliates for one-voice approach. * Monitor, research, and analyze industry trends, competitive landscape, and consumer needs. * Support corporate strategic initiatives, cross-vehicle line studies, and innovation workshops. * Create reports and presentations for U.S. and Korean senior management. * Conduct benchmarking on HMG and competitor products. * Monitor vehicle feedback and recommend improvements and lifecycle actions. * Attend and support trade shows; report industry trends and insights to upper management. * Respond quickly to Korea R&D and HQ ad-hoc requests for info and analysis. * Support customer research (e.g., interviews, ethnography, spec reviews, focus groups, ride and drives). * Create and present market reports and sales analyses to senior management.
Up to 20% domestic and international travel.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. 5-10+ years of experience in Industry Analysis, Benchmarking, Innovation, Market Research, or Product Planning-ideally in the automotive industry. * Automotive experience may include: vehicle evaluation, component testing or teardown, competitive intelligence, program management, customer research, forecasting, strategic planning, quality, or vendor management. * Experience in data analysis. Especially valuable: IQS, NVCS, AutoKnowledge, AutoSource, AutoPacific, mTab, and secondary research. * Expert-level PowerPoint skills; proficient in Excel including pivot tables. * Proven communication and presentation skills, including report development and coordination of cross-functional teams. * Demonstrated ability to excel in both creative and analytical work. * Able to combine data, experience, judgment, and intuition to deliver insights and a compelling story. * Resilient, flexible, and able to adapt to rapidly changing business needs. * Passion for discovery and learning; driven by curiosity and a desire to go beyond the obvious. * Strong problem-solving skills, including identifying root causes and proposing solutions. * Comfortable with ambiguity; skilled at defining and managing scope, timing, and resources. * Self-directed.
