Opportunity

The Senior Acquisition Program Analyst will perform a wide range of analytical duties related to Army acquisition programs by recommending approaches or solutions to programmatic needs and facilitating solutions in an expeditious manner. This position will play a critical role in the strategic execution of the organization's mission. The Senior Acquisition Analyst will plan, coordinate, lead, and execute projects and activities directly supporting senior leadership's strategic goals.

The Senior Acquisition Analyst will be a strategic analytic thinker capable of solving critical problems through innovative solutions and will be expected to brief at a Four-Star level. The Senior Acquisition Analyst will provide dedicated acquisition support to leadership and program offices, ensuring compliance and best practices. Implement and maintain acquisition tools, templates, and processes to streamline and standardize acquisition activities. Along with the Risk Management Coordinator and Master Scheduler, coordinate the full range of acquisition functional support to programs.



Qualifications

    Plan, coordinate, lead, and execute projects and activities supporting strategic goals.

  • Act as focal point for duties assigned by senior leadership involving coordination of Project Offices and Principal Staff for strategic communications, senior engagement activities, and host-nation relations.

  • Gather, develop, and verify accuracy of information from Project Offices and Principal Staff.

  • Prepare written materials and briefings from subject matter experts using both open-source and classified information.

  • Coordinate speeches, talking points, and briefing preparation assistance for senior leadership.

  • Provide analysis to support senior leader situational awareness and understanding of key issues.

  • Conduct research assistance and coordinate with external agencies as needed.

  • Participate in strategic long-range planning.

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects with clear responsibilities and timelines.

  • Support engagement strategies and interagency coordination.

  • Maintain liaison with relevant international and non-government organizations to ensure alignment on senior engagement strategies.

  • Ensure senior leaders are well-prepared for public appearances.

  • Perform quality control for briefing products and internal/external publications.

  • Identify issues and recommend solutions.

  • Prepare briefings, read-aheads, and information papers for meetings with government and commercial stakeholders.

  • Participate in internal study groups and process improvement initiatives.

  • Review incoming directives and assign office of primary responsibility.

  • Interpret DoD and Army regulations governing foreign disclosure and technology transfer.

  • Analyze regulatory and statutory impacts on missions and operations.

  • Manage and expand the Executive Information Portal (EIP) as a central repository for program information.

  • Participate in synchronization meetings and coordinate involvement in exercises and simulations.

  • Coordinate industry engagements and evaluate emerging technologies.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Experience:
  • 25+ years of experience supporting Army leadership and strategic initiatives.

  • Expert knowledge of defense acquisition, PPBE processes, acquisition strategies, and program management.

  • Experience with rapid prototyping, expedited acquisition authorities, and accelerated material release.

  • Understanding of the integration of program management, logistics, procurement, and support.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize.

  • Strong initiative and attention to detail.

  • Accountability for meeting deadlines and achieving results.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience briefing senior DoD leaders and influencing decisions.

  • Positive and flexible attitude with a problem-solving mindset.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to work independently and remotely.

  • Must have a current driver's license.

  • Travel: 10%

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • Must have an active U.S. DoD Secret clearance upon hire and maintain eligibility.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited university.

Preferred / Desired Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Former DoD Program Manager in acquisition discipline.
  • Graduate of U.S. Military Senior Service College.
  • Eligible for Top Secret / SCI clearance.
  • Master's Degree or higher from an accredited university.
  • DAWIA/AWA certifications in Program Management.
  • Experience with agile software for rapid prototyping.
