The opportunity

As a Claims Associate, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely resolution of cargo and general liability claims. Your responsibilities will include handling new assignments to ensure resolution within established best practices. This role is great for an individual who thrives within a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. With exposure to internal and external stakeholders, you will be part of a talented, diverse team where your voice and ideas will be heard, and where your contributions will drive success and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor new assignments, ensuring timely initial contact, follow up, and resolution within established best practices.

  • Coordinating cargo/property surveys when necessary, interpreting the results

  • Make coverage determinations in accordance with contractual terms and/or applicable law.

  • Identify and pursue recovery.

  • Create and maintain claim file in accordance with company best practices and audit requirements.

  • Identify trends and issues, raising clearly defined case and proposed resolution steps to team manager.

  • Meet or exceed call queue metrics, taking ownership of inquiry calls and problem solving in real time.

  • Assist with property (in-home) damage claims as necessary.

  • Perform other job-related duties.

We are Looking For:

  • 1+ years of experience preferred

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • Ability to communicate efficiently, quickly and provide precise details both verbally and written

  • Drives for results and success, conveys a sense of urgency and drives issues to closure, persists despite obstacles and opposition

  • Team player - works together with others in the business unit to achieve results, fosters teamwork

  • Customer focused

  • Exceptional attention to detail:

  • Experience in a task-based work environment.

  • Proven ability to deliver even under pressure

  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

Pay Range: $40,000-$45,000* USD

*The above-stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
