Overview

The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering is seeking a visiting faculty member. Candidates must have an outstanding record of accomplishment and have an interest in collaborative research. General Purpose: This position supports the teaching mission of the department, fills research gaps and contributes to departmental and university service.



Responsibilities

* Lead and teach engineering courses that satisfy the department's teaching mission.
* Contribute expertise in research that complements the department's strategic initiatives in process systems engineering, biomaterials, plasma engineering, electrochemistry, energy and semiconductor processing.
* Advise students on their career paths.
* Be willing to contribute and lead departmental and university committees.
* Cultivate a safe, respectful environment for student achievement.
* Assist with other projects, administrative duties, and initiatives as assigned.



Qualifications

Education
Minimal Qualifications
A PhD degree in chemical engineering or a related fields.

Preferred Qualifications
A Ph.D. in chemical engineering or related fields, including a strong publication record and interest in teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses.

Experience
Minimal Qualifications
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge/experience in chemical engineering.

Preferred Qualification:
Experience with teaching or assisting teaching a chemical engineering course.
