Techno-Functional QA : Retail Domain(Onsite)

Onsite Location : Framingham, MA

Qualifications

7 to 9 yrs of experience with

  • Retail Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of retail business processes such as inventory management, order fulfillment, and customer experience workflows.
  • Functional Testing Expertise: Strong experience in designing and executing test cases based on functional and business requirements, with a focus on end-to-end retail scenarios.
  • Automation Testing (Basic to Moderate): Ability to run, debug, and make moderate enhancements to existing automation scripts using tools like Selenium, UFT, or similar frameworks.
  • Defect Management: Proficiency in using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps for defect logging, tracking, and lifecycle management.
  • Requirement Analysis: Skilled in analyzing business and technical requirements to ensure comprehensive and accurate test coverage.
  • Agile Methodologies: Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, including participation in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Test Documentation: Ability to create and maintain detailed test artifacts such as test cases, test data, test results, and traceability matrices.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and QA peers.
  • UAT Support: Experience in supporting User Acceptance Testing by preparing test data, assisting users, and validating reported issues.

Roles & Responsibilities

Collaborate with business analysts and developers to understand functional requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test cases.

Execute manual functional testing to validate business workflows and ensure system behavior aligns with specifications.

Run, debug, and make minor modifications to existing automation scripts as needed to support regression and smoke testing.

Log, track, and retest defects using tools like JIRA, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with development teams.

Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, contributing to quality assurance planning.

Support UAT by preparing test data, assisting business users, and validating reported issues.

Maintain test documentation, including test cases, test results, and traceability matrices, ensuring alignment with project requirements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test coverage and support continuous improvement in testing processes. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
