We are seeking a Manager, Quality Engineering to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our Waltham, MA office.

Job Summary

The Manger, Quality Engineering will be responsible for leading the Quality Engineering team to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services. The Privileged Access Security (PAS) platform offers a highly available and performant connectivity framework that uses SSH (secure shell) to create a connectivity platform for remote support. The appliance also offers advanced auditing capabilities and centralized management for remote access. This role involves establishing and executing testing strategies, mentoring team members, and collaborating across engineering and product departments to meet organizational priorities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Quality Engineers primarily tasked with user acceptance and quality testing.
  • Mentor and grow team members, contribute to career path planning and maintain quarterly goals to celebrate successes.
  • Work with the Product and Product Delivery teams to ensure that requirements are well defined and that we deliver to expectations on time.
  • Communicate with all Development team managers to ensure that enhancements, new features, and bug fixes are thoroughly tested and meet our high standards for customer delivery.
  • Collaborate with the reliability engineering team on the requirements and scope of test automation.
  • Define and track quality standards and metrics to help define product quality.
  • Ensure quality processes are compliant and aligned with business priorities and industry best practices.
  • Identify and address quality issues and process inefficiencies.
  • Other duties as assigned and required.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science. A Master's degree and/or certifications in QA-related disciplines (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Quality Engineering / Assurance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Solid leadership skills with the ability to mentor and grow a team.
  • Proficiency in QA tools and frameworks (JIRA, XRAY, Practitest, TestRail, etc).
  • Comprehension of automation frameworks like Selenium or Playwright is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-pace, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize as necessary.
This position offers a total compensation range of $166,000.00 to $176,000.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata's benefit offerings can be found here. This range represents the high and low end of Imprivata's compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate's location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
