POSITION SUMMARY The FFG Director is a senior-level professional, a seasoned individual producer and/or working task leader who applies a comprehensive and in-depth working knowledge of financial/business concepts, contract management, policies, practices, processes and procedures to the management of ship design programs. Successful PMs work independently, with general guidance from management. Errors at this level can cause significant delay, expense and/or disruption to the organization. A successful PM also prepares and maintains management control (financial/business planning and scheduling) systems for moderately-complex contracts, programs, projects, and/or tasks to determine and maintain the most cost effective method of accomplishing work, identify and mitigate risks, etc. Contracts may range in value from $500K to $5 million. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Demonstrates delegation skills and fosters a cooperative work environment. Demonstrates leadership skills that align with the mission, vision, and values of the Company. |
